The big announcement came and went.
We detailed the big stuff as they came out of the new conference in San Fransisco yesterday and now it’s time to squeeze out the details. The chassis and frame is almost identical to the iPad 2.
Models: There are 2 models which are Wifi Only and Wifi/4G LTE
Size: Both models are 9.5″ x 7.31″ x 0.37″. The Wifi version weighing in at 1.44 lbs while the 4G version weighs slightly more at 1.46lbs
Storage: as expected there are 16GB, 32 GB, and 64GB
Display: The new ipad has the Retina display which is 9.7″ of diagonal loveliness showing off 2048 x 1536 resolution (264 ppi).
Chip: It is an A5x chip. That is dual-core processor, not quad-core, as many sites have reported. The quad-core is the onboard Graphics Chip.
Wireless: Bluetooth 4.0 and Wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n
